About Barlou
Who We Are
Barlou is scent as art. It's my way of creating healing, joy, and connection through one of our most powerful senses — smell. I've always seen scent as more than fragrance. It's memory. It's feeling. It's a way to navigate the world when words aren't enough.
My love for crafting and creating came from my grandparents, who filled my world with imagination and hands-on creativity. And my mom — she gave me the most sacred thing: permission. Permission to feel, to explore, to make messes, to turn emotion into art. Art was how I healed, how I expressed, and how I grew. And scent became a natural extension of that — a sensory form of storytelling.
Barlou is named in honor of those three influences: Barbra, Louis, and Louise. Each product is made with them — and you — in mind.
